The shorebirds were grounded due to a cold blustery day at New Smyrna Beach.

fabulous reflection and those birds do look cold. Next time I'm in Florida, I've got to check out New Smyna Beach...It is calling me for some reason.....Looks like there is good bird life there...

Thank you. I highly recommend NSB asa destination. Smyrna Dunes Park has a 1.5 mile raised boardwalk that has several access points to the beach, the breakwater, and the Halifax River. Besides the snowy egrets there are Ruddy Turnstones, Willets, and many other small shorebirds. One of the best sights are the Ospreys diving into the choppy waters where the inlet meets the ocean.
