we have so many birds like this in this area of our wetland but some seem to make for better photoes than others

Thats a very nice exposure of the whites in that bird. Good Job.
BTW, it's not a Heron, it's a Snowy Egret.

Not to be too picky here, but a snowy egret is a white heron. All egrets are herons. This guy is white. Hence, he's a white heron - specifically a snowy egret. That should be about as clear as mud

ahhhh your right it a snowy egret and the white heron is the one with the green face in its winter plumage i believe but whichever it is thank for the compliment
