Roseate Spoonbill's

We went over to the East Coast really to go to Viera Wetlands but do to the rain it was closed to Traffic. A walk around the first cell in a cold stiff wind was enough. We went over to Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and drove the Black Point Drive. the winds were blowing very hard and the activity was limited. however we did find some photo opportunities and got some shots of my first Roseate Sponbills.

Later We heard of another road called Bio Lab road which also produced some Sponbills as well.

Nice spoonie shots, Bob. I'm glad you were able to get over the MINWR. Viera seems to close the roads every time there's any amount of rain. Frustrating, I know.

yes, b ut MINWR has some good opportunities. I am going back in a few weeks hopefully on better weather. I usually go on friday and stay over in a hotel near Viera

Just fantastic captures. I love those birds and that area...There is always some wildlife there to observe and capture. beautiful work here....nice, Robert!
