This was taken in Yellowstone National Park last week. It was an early morning drive and a beautiful surprise to see...I lucked out to have some fall folage in the background of the buck....It really was a wonderful experience to see such a magnificient animal in the wild...He seemed to poise for me.

Tis a Bull Elk. they are called Bulls. The Bucks are related to the deer family. But what a gorgeous site.

Ha! My brother told me the moose were bucks but I didn't realize that elk are bucks, too. I am not doing to well with the gender of my wildlife...Sorry about that...but I do like the photo...
