Pileated Looking for Food

I had a Pileated come into my yard and started hammering on my Dogwood tree. I heard the noise and went out around the house to get a few photos of him. I have seen them a number of times. I know thay have a nest nearby but have yet to locate it

Wonderful captures...I am so worried about that oil spill...I hope the birds in your area are not affected too much...
