My wife (Chris) picked this out of the Sunday paper. "Citrus Country Audubon Society has scheduled a field trip Thursday [March 25th] to Rainbow Springs State Park in Dunellon.... It begins at 8am will be moderate walking and will last two to three hours. . . . The public is welcome to attend. Preregistration is not necessary and participants with all levels of birding skills are welcome. See www.citruscountyaudubon.com for complete details." Thought I'd pass it along. If it ain't rainin and I can get my night owl bones up and going I'll be there (do birds really get up at that hour?) ---- UPDATE ---- This is at the state park NOT the Rainbow Springs head waters, be sure to get directions on the Audubon site under " Field Trips ". ====End Update===

Well it happened, and based on the turnout it was a success. There were around 40 people there. We found lots of birds. I learned a lot about the local residents and the immigrants (birds that is). I also found out that it WAS at the head-springs, they had put the wrong GPS coordinates on the web site, but all was well as it was very lay back morning. learning, always learning
