Pinecone Ginger

Here is a shot from late last summer of the pinecone ginger (also called shampoo ginger) in my front yard. Although this is not a native plant, it has naturalized in some areas in Florida and certainly has tried to do that in my garden.

I've never seen a plant like that! It look very tropical and resembles a pinecone for sure! very interesting...
