Here is a photo that I took of the Black Crowned Night Heron...Interesting comparison to the Florida bird.

Great photo with all that feather detail! Actually, Black Crowned Night Herons are the same in both states. The only difference in the two photographs is the lighting conditions. Here is another photo from the Viera Wetlands that showes the long trailing white feathers on it's head.......

Oh my, that is fantastic...The Vera Wetlands is over near Coaoa, isn't it? I need to go there next visit... Are you going to be selling your prints at the Titusville Wildlife gathhering...I really hope to go...It may just happen...I'd love to meet my wildlife friends if they are at that event!
I had never noticed that long white feather before! I can even see it in my photo now..That is cool Thank you for pointing that out. I ache to be come a wildlife photographer..maybe some day it will happen....I just love looking and being close to these creatures...
