Went to Orlando last Tuesday and included at stop at Gatorland (never been there before). I wanted to check out the rookery area and it definitely looks like it will be a good place to visit much later in the winter. I caught a couple of the shows, including the "Gator Jumperoo" where they feed the gators (big ones) whole chickens (frozen/thawed). This is a shot of a couple of them going for the chicken. Notice the guy has a safety belt on.

Nice shot of the gator.
Those people at Gatorland are absolutely nuts. I'm convinced of that. When I was there they were putting little children on the back of an alligator to have their picture taken. Yikes plus. Did you see that ugly albino gator beast? I think it should be in a Stephen King movie.
I'm still thinking of getting the photo pass for Gatorland this winter. Haven't made up my mind yet. I'd love to get to the alligator farm in St Augustine too, but that's a whole lot longer drive.

I saw the gator wrestling and at the end they do do a photo session, BUT they tape the jaws shut with about 20' of tape. It looked like they have the adult or kids put their hands over the tape, so you don't see it but believe me it is there. The gator handler/wrestler is right there, too. They use a mid-sized gator, maybe 150#, not one of the biggies like in the gator jumperaoo (all those gators are huge).
