Was so delighted to see these geese fly by when I had my camera with me! This was shot in Washington State...They are very neat birds..My Dad told me that when the head goose gets tired, he falls back and another goose takes his place. They work as a team...Teamwork is important with geese, as well as for the rest of us. We can learn a lot from our wildlife friends, can't we.

Nice shot. Another interesting fact about geese: If one of the flock is injured or ill and can't fly, the rest of the flock waits with him/her until it recovers or dies. They've been known to spend an entire season waiting it out. Geese are nice to one another, but not very friendly to humans
