I took several shots of scrub jays at the Big Scrub in the Ocala National Forest this morning. It was encouraging to see 10 or 12 of these birds together.

Nice shot, Ron. I love seeing the scrub jays. I've seen some over at the Criukshank (sp?) sanctuary and some up by Cedar Key. Both times the birds were very curious about us, almost friendly.
Your birds don't seem to be banded. The others I've seen all were.

This flock was in a pretty remote area of the Big Scrub. None of the birds I saw in this group were banded. They also were not socialized at all - they were very wary of me which is probably a good thing. I'm going back this weekend late in the day to see if I can locate them again.
