This morning I took a stroll down along the shores of lake Beverly. I have not been down to the lake for a while and I wanted to see if there was any bird activity. As I was strolling along I was listening for any tell tale sound of the Owls, Pleated woodpecker and other birds that frequent the park beside the lake. I found the bird activity somewhat slow although I did see some birds here and there but with all the leaves, I could not get photos. As I proceed along the path, I discovered a huge spider web with a large Golden Silk Spider in the middle working on a beetle that was caught in the web. The spider looks huge and many think they are poisnious but they are not and it makes for a good photo op when other subjects are not available. I circled on around the trail and stumbled into another spider web. It seems the spiders are the only subjects this morning. As I was heading back toward the parking lot, I discovered anther web that looked like a rainbow. The sun was hitting just right to make colors on the web.
