Since I haven't been able to get out and do much in the way of photography lately, I thought I'd follow Bob Strickland's advice and set my backyard shed up as a blind. One of the windows in the shed looks out on the vacant lot next to me, so I cleared a little spot there and put up some feeders, a birdbath and lots of branches. I went out for about an hour yesterday and again today and hid in my shed with the window open and the tripod poised. It wasn't long before a few visitors showed themselves, which was good because I was about frozen hanging out in there with the shovels and lawnmower. Anyhow, here's a few of my first attempts with this setup. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

Great shots, especially since I'm sitting in my warm study looking at the results of your frostbite. I might try this from my garden shed once it warms up a bit.

Maureen, Great Shots. the background seems to be Ok. It was cold as you said but it will be worth it. These are super photos. Put a heater in there.
